JV Softball Suffers 24-4 Loss To North Penn-Liberty.
 

Wellsboro dropped a 24-4 stand-alone JV softball game to rival North Penn-Liberty on Saturday, May 4.

The Lady Mounties scored 5 runs in the 1st, 3 in the 2nd, one in the 3rd, 7 in the 4th and 8 in the 5th.

Wellsboro's 4 runs came in the 3rd inning. With one out freshman Bri Stocum singled to reach base and was followed by a base hit from sophomore LeAnna Fuentes. Freshman Lauren Kosek reached on an error and freshman Kaelyn Peterson hit into a fielder's choice. All four would cross home plate for the Lady Hornets.

Wellsboro had 5 hits in the game, one each by sophomore Harleigh Cleveland, Stocum, Fuentes, sophomore Kieleigh Hoover, and sophomore Anna Tokarz.
