Towanda 10-runned Wellsboro in 5 innings to hand the Lady Hornets their 6th straight loss on Friday, May 12.
The Lady Knights scored twice in the 1st, 3 times in the 2nd, and twice in both the 4th and 5th innings to end the game early.
Senior Jordyn Abernathy had two of Wellsboro's 4 hits on the afternoon (2-for-3) to lead the Lady Hornets. Fellow seniors Maddi Bordas (1-for-3) and Mariah Borden (1-for-2) added the other hits.
Borden pitched all 5 innings, allowing 8 hits, 3 walks, and a strikeout.
Wellsboro (2-14, 2-12 NTL Large School Division) is back in action at home on Tuesday against Wyalusing.
