Towanda softball tops Canton.

The Towanda softball team scored three runs in the seventh on their way to a 6-3 win over Canton on Friday.

Madi Doss had three hits for Towanda, with an RBI and a run scored, and Larisa Terry had three hits, with a double, an RBI and a run scored.

Justine Vargason had two doubles, an RBI and a run scored, and Bella Bartholomew had a pair of hits and scored a run.

Casey Hawley had a double and two RBI, and Cearra McLinko had a hit.

Shaylynn Chandler scored a run, and Maggie Falsey had an RBI and a run scored.

Jayde Parsons struck out five on the mound.

Brooke Ward had three hits, with a double, and scored a run for Canton, and Lacey Castle had two hits, with a double, and an RBI.

Alexa Roy had two hits and Evelyn Katona had a hit. Hailey Wesneski and Kelsey Griffin scored runs and Lauryn Watkins had an RBI for the Warriors.

Maggy Matchmer and Katona struck out two in the game.

Waverly 6, Spencer Van-Etten 0

Shailei Kraft and Wendi Hammond combined to strike out 10 in the win.

Kraft struck out seven and allowed four hits in four innings, while Hammond threw three perfect innings with three strikeouts.

Kalie Herriman had two hits in the game, and Hammond had a double and scored a run.

Kraft scored a run and Zoe Mennig had a double and scored two runs.

Karleigh VanNess and Kendra Ellers had hits. Ellers scored a run, while VanNess had an RBI.

Madison Klossner scored a run for Waverly.

Athens 8, Sayre 4

The Wildcats got a home run from Aubrey Allen as they scored five runs in the second inning of the win.

Aubrey Allen had a home run, two RBI and a run scored, and Emma Adams had two doubles, an RBI and a run scored.

Lexi Morley had two hits, with a double, two RBI and a run scored, and Kaitlyn Testen had a hit, an RBI and a runs cored.

Morgan Ferguson had a double and scored a run, Kendra Brown had a hit and scored a run, and Lauren Galasso had a hit and two RBI. Angie Hudock scored a run in the game.

Galasso struck out four on the mound.

Kate Cron had two hits for Sayre, and Paige Wampole had two hits and scored two runs.

Kaitlynn McCarter had a double, two RBI and a run scored, and Dominique Woodruff had a hit and scored a run. Alia Post added a hit for Sayre.

Williamson 14, Troy 4, 5 innings

The Warriors got three hits, with an inside-the-park home run, three runs scored and two RBI from Sam Herrington in the win.

Kailee Shaefer had three hits, two runs scored and an RB,I and Hanna Fitzmartin had a hit and scored a run.

Sarah Bates had an RBI and scored a run, and Makayla Butz scored two runs and had an RBI.

Kendra Colegrove, Andrea Regalbuto and Emma Durst scored runs, and Emily Hackett had an RBI and scored two runs.

Durst pitched in the win.

Troy got a pair of hits, a double, a run scored and two RBI from Vanessa Watson and Caitlyn Hoffmann, Jessica Fritsch and Erika Johnston had hits and Fritsch and Kerrigan Hoffmann scored runs.

NEB 3, Wyalusing 1

Gabby Slater threw a three-hitter, striking out seven and walking none for NEB in the win.

Katie Boardman had two hits for the Panthers, and scored a run and Slater had a hit.

Hailey Fisher scored a run and Jaycee Brown had a hit, an RBI and a run scored, while Dana Koontz had a hit.

Brooke Force had two hits, and Trinity Kipp had a hit and scored Wyalusing's run.

Kyleigh Ward pitched for Wyalusing.
