Athens softball downs TroyThe Athens Wildcats scored seven runs in the first two innings in a 12-1 win over Troy in six innings.

Hannah Reid was 4-for-4 with four runs scored and two doubles and Emma Adams was 3-for-4 with three runs scored and an RBI for Athens.

Aubrey Allen had two hits, with a double, four RBI and three runs scored and Lexi Morley had a hit and scored a run.

Kaitlyn Testen had two hits, an RBI and a run scored and Hayleigh Macik had a double and two RBI.

Allen had a three-hitter, striking out four and walking none for Athens.

Vanessa Watson, Roxanne Kingsley and Erika Johnston had hits for Troy and Johnston scored their run.

Kerrigan Hoffmann and Watson pitched, striking out eight.

Wyalusing 11, Towanda 1

WYALUSING — The Rams scored seven runs in the third inning of the win.

Kate Epler had two hits and scored two runs for the Rams and Sarah Bird had a hit and scored two runs.

Erin Canfield had a hit, a run scored and an RBI and Kyleigh Ward had a double and two RBI.

Melody Kneller had a double, two RBI and a run scored and Miranda Herbert had a hit and scored two runs.

Kristie Epler had a hit, a run and an RBI and Trinity Kipp had two hits, while Autumn Dietz scored a run.

Ward had a two-hitter, striking out two.

Cearra McLinko and Rachael Bair had hits for Towanda and Casey Hawley scored their run.

Hawley struck out three on the mound and Sydney Schoonover struck out one.

Wyalusing hosts Williamson on Monday.

NEB 5, Williamson 0

The Panthers got a four-hit shutout, with five strikeouts from Gabby Slater in the win.

NEB scored three runs in the third to break a scoreless tie.

Megan Brown and Gabby Slater each had a hit and scored a run and Katie Boardman and Annie Williams had doubles. Williams had a run scored and two RBI and Boardman had three RBI.

Jaycee Brown had a hit and scored a run.

Sarah Bates, Andrea Regalbuto, Makayla Butz and Hanna Fitzmartin had hits for Williamson and Emma Durst struck out three and allowed five hits.

Tioga 17, O-M 0

Mariah Culver struck out 18, allowing four hits, in the win.

Katelyn Stubbs had three hits, with two doubles, and three runs scored and Brittany Vergason had two hits and scored a run.

Sam Wood had two hits, three runs scored and a triple.

Mariah Culver had three hits and scored three runs and Sarah Hollenbeck had two hits and scored three runs.

Sara Strong had two triples and a double, scoring two runs, for Tioga.

Megan Godfrey had a hit and scored a run and Morgan Babcock scored a run.

Wellsboro 6, Liberty 5

Alyssa Yungwirth struck out 13 and walked just one in the win.

Sydney Tremper had two hits, with a double, and two RBI and Alexa Singer had a double and an RBI and Yungwirth and Jenny Young had hits.

Wellsboro led 6-0 after two before Liberty got five runs back.

Abby Heatley had a double and two RBI, Brooke Harvey had a hit and an RBI and Lauren Smith had a hit.

Kristina Buchanan and Savanah Doney struck out two between them for Liberty.

Wellsboro hosts CV on Monday.

Sayre 8, Sullivan County 1

Kaitlynn McCarter was 4-for-4 at the plate, driving in three and scoring a run and she struck out two in the complete-game win on the mound.

Dominique Woodruff had two hits, with a triple, two RBI and a run scored for Sayre.

Rory Tigue had a hit, an RBI and a run scored and Kate Cron had a hit, a run scored and two RBI.

Paige Wampole had a hit and scored a run and Alia Post scored two runs, while Camryn Brown had a hit and scored a run.

Bethany Weinhardt had two hits for Sullivan, with a double, and Quincy Fry, Torie Shultz, Noelle Henninger, Savanah Baldwin and Chandra Thomas added hits.

Fry struck out one on the mound.

Edison 1, Waverly 0

McKenzie Slaven of Edison won the pitching duel on Friday in the win. Slaven struck out 15 in the five-hit shutout, while Wendi Hammond of Waverly struck out two in the five-hitter.

Shailei Kraft had two hits, with a double, and Zoe Mennig, Karleigh VanNess and Madison Klossner had hits for Waverly in the loss.

Notre Dame 15, Watkins Glen 0

Alivia Clark and Izzy Milazzo combined on a one-hitter, striking out eight in the win.

Makenzie Mahajan had three hits and scored two runs and Clark had a triple, an RBI and three runs scored.

Mackenzie Maloney had three hits, with a triple, four RBI and two runs scored and Milazzo had two hits, an RBI and two runs scored.

Morgan Cox scored three runs and Jordyn Fargo had two doubles, four RBI and a run scored.

Courteney Crater had three hits, with two doubles, two RBI and two runs scored and Hannah Mahon had two hits and two RBI.

Bloomsburg 14, Sullivan 0

Torie Shultz had the Griffins' lone hit in the loss.

Savanah Baldwin struck out one on the mound in the game.
