2015 Troy vs. Wellsboro SoftballEAST TROY - The Troy Trojans erupted for three runs in the fifth inning to pick up a 4-2 win over Wellsboro in NTL softball action on Saturday.

Brooke Mattocks keyed the big inning for Troy with a two-run double.

Kelsey Bristol and Faith Ceely each had two hits days and both got hits and scored in the fifth. Ceely had an RBI and Bristol scored two runs in the game.

Marissa Jarrell had a hit and scored a run in the fifth inning.

Kerrigan Hoffman added a hit for Troy and Taylor Johnston had an RBI.

Hoffman pitched, striking out two in the game.

Jenny Young had three hits, with a double, and a run scored for Wellsboro.

Alyssa Yungwirth had a pair of doubles and an RBI and Alexa Singer had two hits, with a double, and an RBI. Peyton Wilson had a hit in the game.

Singer struck out one on the mound for Wellsboro.

Troy won a JV game over Wellsboro 3-0. Vanessa Watson had a two-hitter, striking out nine with no walks. Erika Johnston, Kylie Taylor and Nicole Spalding all scored for Troy while Mikayla Newell had the lone hit.

Yungwirth threw a 1-hitter with five strikeouts and one walk for Wellsboro, allowing three unearned runs. Yungwirth also had both of Wellsboro's hits.

Notre Dame 7, Waverly 2

SOUTHPORT, N.Y. - Alivia Clark and Mackenzie Maloney each had three hit day sto lead the Crusaders to the win on Saturday.

Notre Dame scored a run in the first, two in the third, and one in the fifth to take a 4-0 lead. Waverly got a pair of runs in the top of the six to cut the deficit to 4-2, before Notre Dame answered with three in the bottom half of the inning.

Clark and Maloney each had doubles among their three hits and Clark had two RBI, while Maloney had an RBI and a run scored.

Mackenzie Mahajan had two hits and scored two runs and Izzy Milazzo had two hits and scored a run.

Brooke Harvey had a hit and two RBI and Ally Wichtowski had a hit and scored a run, while Maura Glovins had a hit and scored two runs.

Clark pitched for the Crusaders, striking out eight, walking none and allowing six hits.

Sam Mennig had two hits, with a two-run home run, that accounted for Waverly's runs.

Shailei Kraft had a hit and scored a run and Kiana Manuel, Anna Smith and Kalie Herriman each had hits for Waverly.

Mennig struck out six and walked one, allowing seven hits.

Wyalusing 20, Liberty 4, 3 innings; Wyalusing 8, CV 7

The Rams picked up a pair of victories on Saturday in a double-header at Mansfield.

In the first game the Rams scored 13 runs in the third to get the win.

Kasey Devoir had a grand slam and a double for Wyalusing, driving in six runs and scoring four, with two stolen bases.

Erin Canfield was 3-for-3 with two runs scored, three doubles, a steal and four RBI.

Ally DeVoir had two hits, two runs and an RBI and Kate Epler had two hits, three runs, two steals and an RBI.

Kyleigh Ward scored three runs and had an RBI and Paighton Martin had a pair of hits, with a triple, a stolen base, two RBI and two runs scored.

Taylor Schum had a hit, a run and two RBI and Kristie Epler scored a run, while Maddy Eberlin had a pair of hits, an RBI and two runs scored.

Abby Heatley scored a run for Liberty and Britta Berguson had a hit, two runs scored and two steals. Emily Davenport had a hit and Lauren Smith scored a run.

Epler started for the Rams, striking out one, and Ward struck out one in relief.

Against CV Canfield had a go-ahead two-run double with two outs in the sixth to give the Rams the win.

Ally DeVoir had a hit, an RBI and a run scored and Martin had a hit, two runs scored, an RBI and a stolen base.

Ward had a hit, a run scored and two RBI.

Kate Epler had two hits and Eberlin and Trinity Kipp each had hits and scored a run. Sarah Bird and Kristie Epler each scored runs.

Maddy Hatch had a hit and scored two runs for CV and Courtney Schauer scored a run.

Jessi Prutsman had three hits, with a double, two runs scored and two RBI. Madison Lee had three hits, with two doubles, and two RBI. Taylor Hager had two hits, an RBI and a run scored and Whitney Earl had an RBI.

Ward struck out six for the Rams and Hager struck out three for CV.

Wyalusing hosts Athens on Wednesday.

Williamson 8, Northern Potter 3

Emily Hackett had a pair of hits, with a double, and Kendra Colegrove and Emma Durst each had two hits in the win.

Makayla Butz and Sarah Bates each had doubles for Williamson and Sam Herrington, Andrea Regalbuto and Megan Wyble added hits.

Durst struck out seven on the mound for the Warriors.

Brianna Black had two hits, with a double, for Northern Potter and Torie McCutcheon had a double. Makayla Lewis had a hit and Alexis Thompson had two hits. Black struck out three on the mound.
