2013 Wyalusing vs. Towanda SoftballWYSOX - Emily Faulkner struck out 10 and held Towanda scoreless in Wyalusing's 3-0 NTL East softball win Saturday.

Faulkner allowed four hits and two walks in the contest while Arielle Kneller (2-for-4), Ciera Holland (2-for-4) and Mackenzie Martin (2-for-3) had multiple hit games for the Rams.

Erin Canfield added a hit as well while Kasey DeVoir, Kneller and Martin scored the runs.

Koryn Wickwire, Alaina Wickwire, Sam Schoonover and Mackenzie Roof had the four Towanda hits.

Alaina Wickwire was strong in the loss, striking out three while allowing no walks.

Towanda will travel to Athens Tuesday as part of a make-up from last week.

CMVT 10, Sullivan County 2

A bad second inning doomed the Griffins in their Heartland Conference loss Saturday.

CMVT scored five in the second to propel them for the win.

Brianna Baumunk led Sullivan with two hits and a run scored while Alyssa Blasi had the other run. Tori Shultz added a hit and an RBI.

Blasi scored the loss, striking out two while allowing six walks, 13 hits and six earned runs. Baumunk, Addie Jordan, Shelby Zeller and Crystal Calaman also had some strong defensive play for the Griffins.

Sullivan (0-4) will travel to St. John Neumann on Monday with a 4:30 p.m. start.
