2012 Troy vs. Wyalusing SoftballWYALUSING - The Troy Trojans got a two-hit, four RBI day from freshman Brooke Mattocks as they came away with the victory on Thursday.

Mattocks had a two-run double in a three-run fourth inning and she had a two-run single in a two-run fifth inning to guide Troy to the win. She accounted for all five Troy runs as she also scored in the game.

Katie Jackson, Kelsey Bristol, Cecilia Morse and Kelly Bridgham all added hits for Troy.

Kayla Stephani, Tiffani Mattocks, Morse and Faith Ceely scored runs for the Trojans.

Hannah Jackson struck out nine and walked one in the complete game effort on the mound for Troy.

Freshman Ally DeVoir had two triples, scored a run and had an RBI to lead the Rams.

Arielle Kneller and Kasey DeVoir each had two hits for Wyalusing, with Kneller scoring a run.

Laci Holdren had a double and Cathryn Pugh, Cierra Holland Emily Faulkner all had hits, with Holland getting an RBI.

Faulkner struck out two and walked three on the mound.

Wyalusing is at Galeton on Monday.

Towanda 10, CV 0, 6 innings

WYSOX - The Black Knights scored six fifth-inning runs and got a one-hit shutout from Alaina Wickwire to pick up the victory on Thursday.

"Our girls played real good ball tonight," Towanda coach Bryan Fuller said. "Alaina pitched a great game. We hit the ball real well. Our girls played solid ball."

Koryn Wickwire was 3-for-3 with four RBI and two runs scored and Laci Manning had a hit and an RBI, while Tori Welliver had a double.

Wickwire scored a run and Michelle Aronson had a hit and scored two runs. Emily Gorman had two hits, with a triple, two RBI and a run scored and Raven Vargason had two hits, two RBI and two runs scored, while Kylie Cazzassa had a hit and scored two runs.

Wickwire struck out seven and walked one in the one-hit shutout.

Shanelle Ianson had the lone hit for the Indians and she started for CV on the mound, striking out one.

Towanda is at the Williamsport Tournament starting today.

Wellsboro 15, Athens 3

The Green Hornets got their offense going in a road win on Thursday.

Coming off a shutout loss to Wyalusing on Thursday, the Green Hornets had eight different players score runs in this win.

Lauren Bleggi scored two runs, Brooke Kohler scored four runs, and Maggie Smith and Jordan Butters each scored three runs.

Alex Kurtz scored a pair of runs and Peyton WilsonBreyann Campbell and Baylea Lehman each scored runs in the game.

For Athens, Alexa Daddona, Jensen Dunkling and Rica Dimon all scored runs in the game.

Daddona pitched for the Wildcats and Smith threw for the Green Hornets.

Waverly 12, Newfield 3 (stopped after 6 due to rain)

The Wolverines scored 10 runs in the third inning on their way to the victory.

Cassie Morey had two hits and Sabrina Bowman had two hits, including a three-run home run.

Stephanie Bellis had three hits, with a double, and Carmella Ruth, Kiana Manuel, Emiley Myers, Megan Wilbur and Halleigh Decker all had hits for Waverly.

Bellis struck out five, walked two and allowed four hits and three runs, two earned, on the mound.

Waverly is at Edison today.

Southern Columbia 19, Sullivan County 0, 4 innings

Alyssa Blassi pitched for the Griffins, striking out one in the game.

Sullivan County is at Millville on Saturday.

Canton 16, Galeton 1, 4 innings

Chelsey Heatley tossed a one-hitter, walking one and striking out seven in the win.

Bridget Tracy had a hit, a run scored, two stolen bases adn an RBI and Heatley had three hits, with a double, two runs scored and five stolen bases.

Morgan Palmer had a hit, a pair of runs scored and two stolen bases and Kellsy Ross had a 3-for-3 day with a home run, three RBI, two runs scored and a stolen base.

Kayla Ward scored a run, Felicia Diefenderfer scored a run and stole a base, Emily Ambruch had three hits, two stolen bases and three runs scored.

Makenzy Route had a double, two runs scored and two stolen bases and Kaylin Baker had two hits, two stolen bases and two runs scored.

Mataya McPherson had a hit and scored Galeton's run and she pitched, striking out one.
