Wellsboro rode the pitching of Alyssa Yungwirth and the hitting of Sarah Ingerick to a 1-0 win over Williamson in NTL softball action on Wednesday.

Yungwirth threw a one-hit shutout, striking out 11 for the Green Hornets.

Ingerick hit a solo home run in the fourth inning for the game's only run.

Darci Warriner had a double, Jenny Young had a triple and Alexa Singer added a hit for Wellsboro.

Emma Durst struck out four and allowed one run for Williamson.

The Rams got nine runs in the first two innings on their way to the win on Wednesday.

Kyleigh Ward had three hits, with a double and three RBI and Paighton Martin had three hits, an RBI and three runs scored.

Kristie Epler had a hit and scored a run and Ally DeVoir had a double and a run scored.

Kasey DeVoir had two hits and an RBI and Erin Canfield had two hits.

Maddy Eberlin had a hit and scored three times and Trinity Kipp and McKenzie Krewson each had hits for the Rams.

Madi Doss had three hits for Towanda and scored two times and Mackenzie Roof had a double an RBI and a run scored.

Sam Mennig threw a three-hit shutout, striking out 13 in the win.

Stephanie Bellis had a 4-for-4 day with a home run, a triple, two RBI and three runs scored.
