Troy softball tops NEB.

EAST TROY — Troy softball scored four runs in the third inning on their way to a 7-3 win over NEB on Wednesday.

The Trojans got a run in the first, four in the third and runs in the fourth and fifth to go up 7-0, before NEB fought back with three runs in the seventh.

Vanessa Watson threw a four-hitter for the Trojans in the game.

Watson had two hits, with a double, and Gabby Cory had two hits, with a double, and two RBI.

Riley McClellan had a double, an RBI and a run scored and Roxanne Kingsley had a hit and scored a run.

Caitlyn Hoffman had an RBI in the game and Nicole Spalding had an RBI and scored two runs. Nicole McClellan scored two runs and Arian Wilcox scored a run.

NEB got a double from Taya Howell, who had an RBI and McKenzie Haight, McKenna Hurley and Jaycee Brown had hits in the game. Hurley and Haight each had RBI and Chloe Baker, Lindsay Moore and Jorga Welch scored runs in the game.

Morgan Post struck out three in 4 1/3 innings and Moore struck out one in 1 2/3 innings. Watson struck out six for Troy.
