ATHENS -- The Wolverines scored nine times in the first two innings and held on for the 11-10 win over Athens.
Shailei Kraft had three hits, with a double, two RBI and two runs scored for Waverly and Wendi Hammond had a double and scored three runs.
Paige Miller had a double, two RBI and two runs scored and Riley Hall had two hits, with a double, a run scored and three RBI.
Zoe Mennig had two hits, with a double, and an RBI. Katie Goodwin had a hit, an RBI and a run scored, Sydney Meyers had a hit and scored a run and Kari VanAllen had a double.
Hammond struck out five on the mound.
Emma Adams, Reagan Lynch, Makenzie Strobridge and Aubrey Allen had two hits each for Athens. Adams had an RBI and scored three runs and Allen had three RBI and two runs scored.
Strobridge had four RBI. Mimi Martin had a hit and scored two runs and Morgan Ferguson scored two runs. Haley Barry had a hit and an RBI and Maddy McCutcheon scored a run.

Canton had 16 hits in the game, but were hurt by 12 errors.
