Doney, Liberty no-hit AthensATHENS — Savanah Doney threw her second no-hitter of the year, allowing just one base runner as North Penn-Liberty beat Athens 10-0. Doney struck out three in the win.

Doney also had her first home run of the year, a three-run shot, in the second inning and was 2-for-2 in the game. Carmen Bates had two hits and an RBI and Brooke Harvey had two hits and scored three runs.

Abby Heatley had two RBI and Emma Williams had a hit.

Lauren Smith and Mariah Kshir had a hit, Kshir had an RBI and Jill Berguson had a double and an RBI.

Emma Adams struck out one on the mound for Athens and Taylor Jenney was Athens' base-runner, getting hit by a pitch.

CV 7, Sayre 3

Down 3-2 after two innings, the Indians got two runs in the third and three in the fifth on their way to the win.

Madi Lee had a 3-for-3 day with a triple, three RBI and a run scored and Amaya Walker had a hit, an RBI and a run scored.

Brynn Williams had a double and scored three runs and Riley Ortt scored a run, while Emma McClaren had two RBI.

Karmen Short had a triple and Jenna Romaneo had a hit.

Sayre got two hits from Reaghan Zurn, who scored a run and Camryn Brown was 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored.

Jillian Shay had a hit and an RBI and Makayla Mullen had a hit and scored a run. Annaleise Vanderpool had a hit and Dominique Woodruff had an RBI.

Julia Draper, Haley Murphy and Ashleigh Southard combined to strike out four for CV and Kaitlynn McCarter struck out three for Sayre.

Wellsboro 3, Wyalusing 1

Alyssa Yungwirth threw a one-hitter with 13 strikeouts in the victory.

Yungwirth had a double and an RBI for Wellsboro and Sydney Tremper had a double and scored a run.

Brianne Keane had two hits and Kailee Clymer scored a run, while Tiana Lecker had a hit and scored a run.

Kyleigh Ward had Wyalusing's hit and Sarah Bird scored the run. Ward threw a five hitter, striking out one.

Towanda 3, Troy 1

The Black Knights scored all three runs in the fourth and fifth inning of the win.

Cearra McLinko was 3-for-3 with an RBI and Larisa Terry had a hit and scored a run.

Justine Vargason had a hit and an RBI and Shaye Chandler had an RBI and scored a run, while Hannah Chandler scored a run.

Terry got the win, allowing three hits in six innings, striking out two, and Emily Dunn pitched an inning for the save.

Vanessa Watson struck out two in a five-hitter in the loss for Troy.

Watson had a hit and an RBI, Erika Johnston had a hit, Brianna Rathbun had a hit and Madison Alexander scored a run.

"It was great to get back in the win column, six games left," Towanda coach Stan Siberski said. "We want to finish strong. It was a good team win."

Emma Durst threw a two-hit shutout for Williamson, striking out six.

Durst had two hits, an RBI and a run scored and Emylee Yusko had a double, two RBI and a run scored.

Kendra Colegrove was 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI and Makayla Butz had two hits, with a double, and an RBI.

Kaylee Butz scored a run and Ella Durst had a hit and scored a run.

Lindsay Colegrove had a hit and Susan Learn had a hit, while Kamryn Miller had a hit.

Emily Ferguson and Evelyn Katona had hits for Canton. Katona struck out three on the mound.

Wendi Hammond threw a one-hitter with 10 strikeouts in the win.

At the plate Hammond was 4-for-4 with two RBI and four runs scored.

Shailei Kraft had three hits, with an RBI and three runs scored and Zoe Mennig had two hits, two runs scored and three RBI.

Riley Hall and Kennedy Wheeler each had doubles with RBI and Hall scored a run.

Paige Lewis scored a run and Katie Goodwin scored a run. Jordan Mente had a hit, an RBI and two runs scored and Kari VanAllen had a hit and scored a run.

Madison Burke had three hits, with a triple, two RBI and two runs scored for the Griffins.

Savannah Baldwin had two hits, two RBI and two runs scored and Jessica King had two hits, with a double, an RBI and two runs scored.

Tiffany Rupert and Alexis Randall each had two hits and a run scored.

Bethany Weinhardt had a double, an RBI and a run scored and Quincy Fry had a hit, an RBI and two runs scored, while Kassandra Houseknecht had a hit.
