Wyalusing edges AthensThe Wyalusing softball team rallied for a 9-8 win over Athens in NTL softball action on Monday.

Erin Canfield led the Rams, going 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, three RBI and two runs scored in the victory.

Kristie Epler scored two runs and Trinity Kipp had two hits, a run scored and an RBI.

Melody Kneller had a hit and Abby Tollaksen and Kate Epler scored runs.

Kyleigh Ward and Autumn Dietz each had doubles for the Rams and Sarah Bird had a hit, an RBI and a run scored.

Ward struck out five on the mound.

Aubrey Allen was 3-for-3 with an RBI and three runs scored for Athens and Emma Adams had two hits and scored a run.

Hannah Reid scored a run and Kaitlyn Testen had a hit and scored two runs.

Hayleigh Macik had a hit, two RBI and a run scored and Makaylah Dekay had a hit and an RBI.

Leah Reid had a hit and an RBI and Lexi Morley had an RBI.

Emma Adams struck out three in four innings and Allen struck out one in two innings on the mound.

The two teams meet again at Athens today.

Waverly 5, Towanda 4

WYSOX--With the game tied after six, Waverly got a two-out double from Zoe Mennig in the seventh, and Mennig scored on a passed ball to help Waverly win 5-4 over Towanda.

Waverly led 2-0 after one, but Towanda scored three in the fourth to take the lead.

Waverly retook the lead with two in the sixth, but Towanda tied things in the bottom of the sixth, before Waverly won it in the seventh.

Wendi Hammong and Kalie Herriman had hits for Waverly, with Herriman scoring a run.

Zoe Mennig and Shailei Kraft each had two hits, with a double, and Mennig scored three times, while Kraft scored a run.

Hammond struck out five on the mound for Waverly.

Madi Doss and Bella Bartholomew had hits for Towanda.

Rachael Bair had two hits, and scored a run, and Cearra McLinko had a hit and scored a run.

Casey Hawley had two hits, with an RBI and two runs scored and Jayde Parsons had two hits and an RBI.

Justine Vargason had two hits, with a triple, and an RBI in the game.

Parsons struck out five on the mound.

Towanda hosts Canton on Wednesday.

NEB 2, Williamson 0

Annie Williams threw a one-hit shutout for the Panthers, striking out three in the win.

At the plate, Williams had two hits, with a double and an RBI.

Megan Brown scored a run and McKenna Wheaton and Danielle Moore had hits.

Dana Koontz had a hit and Jaycee Brown scored for the Panthers.

Kendra Colegrove had Williamson's hit and Sarah Bates struck out three, throwing a five-hitter.

The Panthers are at Wellsboro today.

Darci Warriner scored the winning run for the Green Hornets in the 10th inning on the International Tie-breaker rule where she started at second base.

Sydney Tremper had two hits and Alyssa Yungwirth and Brianne Keane had hits.

Alexa Singer struck out five in six three-hit innings and Yungwirth struck out seven in four two-hit innings.

Troy 3, CV 0

Kerrigan Hoffmann threw a one-hitter with 10 strikeouts in the win.

Nicole Spalding had three hits for Troy and Caitlyn Hoffmann had a double and scored a run.

Vanessa Watson had a hit and scored a run and Roxanne Kingsley scored a run, while Jessica Fritsch had a hit and two RBI.

Kayla Schauer had CV's hit.

Ashleigh Southard and Maddy Hatch pitched for CV, allowing five hits.

Liberty 15, Sayre 4, 6 innings

Liberty had 19 hits on their way to the win.

Brooke Harvey was 4-for-5 with two doubles, a triple, five RBI and two runs scored for Liberty and Elizabeth Williams had a hit, two RBI and a run scored.

Britta Berguson and Kristina Buchanan each had two hits, with Buchanan scoring a run.

Lauren Smith had two hits, an RBI and two runs scored and Emily Strange had a hit, an RBI and two runs scored.

Rebecca Rossell had two hits and scored two runs and Savannah Doney had three hits, two RBI and three runs scored.

Jillian Berguson had two doubles, two RBI and two runs scored.
