In their next game the Trojans beat Montoursville 4-0 behind a three-hit shutout from Jerilyn Ross.

Ross struck out five and walked two in the game.

"She pitched really well in our last game there," Troy coach Brian Canfield said. "She went the distance and held them in check, just three singles, so it was good. There was good competition down there, we got a couple good wins, it was a good tournament overall."

Ceely had two hits, a run and an RBI and Hoffman scored a run.

Watson had a hit and an RBI and Taylor Murray had a hit.

Losey-Root had an RBI triple and scored a run and Jessica Fritsch had an RBI.

Just a freshman, Watson came up with hits in both games.

"She did well, she had a hit in each game," Canfield said.

Troy hosts Williamson on Monday.
