Athens tops Wyalusing despite Ward's career day.

2015 Athens vs. Wyalusing SoftballWYALUSING - The Athens Wildcats scored two runs in each the first, third and fifth innings and defeated the Wyalusing Rams 6-4 despite a career day by Kyleigh Ward for the Rams.

Kaitlyn Testen had a hit and scored two runs for Athens and Jensen Dunkling had a double, a run scored and an RBI.

Aubrey Allen had a hit and scored a run for the Wildcats and Lexi Morley had a 4-for-4 day with a run scored and two RBI, including a double.

Hannah Reid had a hit and Rica Dimon had a hit.

Ward was 3-for-4 with her first two career home runs and a triple, driving in three runs for the Rams.

Ally DeVoir had a hit and scored a run and Kasey DeVoir had a hit, while Erin Canfield and Maddy Eberlin each had two hits for Wyalusing.

Allen struck out four, walked one for the Wildcats on the mound, while Ward struck out three and walked none for the Rams.

Notre Dame 7, Edison 4

Alivia Clark had a double, a triple, three RBI and scored a run to lead the Crusaders to the win on Wednesday.

Clark struck out three and walked three on the mound.

Mackenzie Mahajan had two hits and scored a run for Notre Dame.

Brooke Harvey had a hit, an RBI and a run scored and Morgan Cox had two hits and scored two runs.

Izzy Milazzo had a 3-for-3 day with two RBI and Ally Witchotowski had a hit, while Courtney Crater had a hit and scored a run and Maura Glovins scored a run.

McKenzie Slaven had two hits, with a home run, to lead Edison.

NEB 13, Sayre 3, 5 innings

Maddy Johnson had a home run, a double, and three runs scored to lead the Panthers to the win.

Shelby Park scored a run and Annie Williams had two hits, a double and two runs scored.

McKenna Wheaton had two hits, with a double and Kristina Rogers scored three runs for the Panthers.

Julia Williams had two hits and scored a run.

Danielle Moore scored a run and Megan Brown had a hit and scored a run, while Gabby Slater scored a run.

Hannah Dum pitched for the Panthers.

Paige Wampole had two hits, with a double for Sayre and Hannah Croft had a hit and scored a run, while Sydney Post and Blair Wampole scored runs. Kaitlynn McCarter pitched for the Redskins.

Waverly 20, Newark Valley 0

Every starter for Waverly had a hit in the win and eight of the nine had multiple hits in the victory.

Kiana Manuel had three hits, two RBI and two runs scored and Shailei Kraft had three hits, with a double, four RBI and two runs scored.

Sam Mennig had two hits, with a double, three RBI and two runs scored and Stephanie Bellis had a hit, an RBI and a run scored.

Kendra Ellers had two hits, three runs scored and an RBI and Zoe Mennig had three hits, an RBI and a run scored.

Karleigh VanNess had three hits, four RBI and a run scored and Anna Smith had two hits, an RBI and four runs scored, while Kalie Herriman had two hits, two RBI and a run scored.

Mennig allowed just three hits in the game, walking none and striking out three.

Wellsboro 8, Towanda 0

Alexa Singer threw a one-hitter for the Green Hornets, facing just one over the minimum, in the win.

Singer struck out two and walked none in the game.

Paige Carr had a double and Singer had a hit and two RBI.

Sarah IngerickSydney Tremper and Alyssa Yungwirth all had hits for Wellsboro.

Sam Peachey had Towanda's hit.

Casey Hawley and Jayde Parsons pitched for Towanda, striking out one in the game.

Wellsboro hosts Athens on Saturday.

CV 8, Williamson 2

Jessi Prutsman and Taylor Hager each had home runs to lead the Indians to the win on Wednesday.

Williamson led 2-0 when Prutsman hit a home run and Taylor Hager had a grand slam in the fifth inning as CV rallied for the victory.

Madeleine Heyler, Madison Lee, Whitney Earl, Kayla Schauer and Maddy Hatch all had two hits for CV.

Hatch started on the mound with seven strikeouts and Hager struck out one on the mound.

Kendra Colegrove had a double and Makayla Butz had a hit for Williamson.

Sarah Bates started on the mound for Williamson, striking out five, and Emma Durst pitched one inning.

Canton 8, St. John Neumann 0

Maggy Machmer, Abby Herman, Kelsey Griffin and Evelyn Katona had two hits each for Canton in the victory on Wednesday.

Machmer had a double and three RBI, scoring two runs and Herman had a double, two RBI and a run scored. Griffin had a double and scored a run and Katona had a triple and scored two runs.

Kayla Ward had a triple, an RBI and a run scored and Caitlin McFall had a hit and an RBI.

Lacey Castle had a hit and Joslyn Spencer scored a run.

Griffin threw a shutout, striking out three, walking two and allowing nine hits.

Troy 7, Liberty 0

The Trojans scored all seven runs in the second, third and fourth innings to get the win.

Kerrigan Hoffman and Jerilyn Ross combined on a four-hit shutout, walking one and striking out six.

Taylor Murray had two doubles, and scored a run for Troy and Kelsey Bristol and Faith Ceely each had two hits and scored a run.

Brooke Mattocks had a hit and scored two runs for the Trojans.

Taylor Johnston, Kylie Taylor, Erika Johnston and Brooke Losey-Root all had hits for the Trojans.

Hoffman had a hit and scored a run and Ross scored a run.

Kristina Buchanan and Mariah Berguson pitched for Liberty, striking out one and walking three.

Berguson had a double for Liberty and Emily Strange, Delaney Colton and Buchanan had hits.
