2014 Athens vs. Troy SoftballThe Cowanesque Valley Indians picked up a big NTL small-school win on Monday, defeating Northeast Bradford 11-9.

Becky Plummer and Shanelle Ianson each had three hits for CV in the win. Plummer had an RBI and scored two runs, Ianson had two doubles, three runs scored and an RBI.

Julie Brubaker had two hits, a double, and two rBI and Jesse Prutsman had a double, a run scored and three RBI.

Courtney Schauer had a hit and scored two runs and Lexi Huyler had an RBI and scored a run and Tori Burdick scored a run.

Ianson struck out three and walked one on the mound.

Maddy Johnson had a double, two runs scored an an RBI for NEB and Julia Williams had a hit, while Calla Johnson had a double and scored two runs.

Angelia Laudermilch had a double, two RBI and scord a run and McKenna Wheaton had a triple.

Courtney Coleman had a hit and Katie Boardman had an RBI. Megan Brown scored a run, Monica Brown had a double and a run socred and Annie Williams had a stolen base and a run scored.

Chelsie Souto, Coleman and Annie Williams pitched, striking out 10.

NEB is at Canton today.

Towanda 4, Wellsboro 1

WYSOX - The Black Knights scored two in the second and two in the sixth to get the win on Monday.

Alaina Wickwire struck out nine on the mound, allowing five hits and four walks and one run.

At the plate Emily Gorman had a double and an RBI and Sam Peachey had a double and two RBI.

Alaina Wickwire and Koryn Wickwire each had hits and Laciann Manning had a hit and scored a run. Sam Schoonover had a hit, an RBI and stole a base.

Bella Bartholomew and Kaylee Fulmer scored for Towanda in the game.

Sarah Ingerick had two hits for Wellsboro and Maggie Smith had a hit and an RBI and Beylea Lehman and Jordan Butters had hits. Alexa Singer and Brooke Kohler pitched, striking out nine.

Troy 11, Athens 4

ATHENS - Kerrigan Hoffman was perfect in four innings, striking out seven, and Jerilyn Ross struck out four in three innings of relief.

Kelsey Bristol had two hits, with a triple, an RBI and three runs scored for Troy and Faith Ceely had three hits and two runs.

Kayla Stephani was 3-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBI and Jessica Fritsch had two hits, with a double, and an RBI.

Taylor Murray had a hit and scored a run and Taylor Johnston had a hit and two RBI.

Brooke Mattocks had two hits, two RBI and two runs scored and Brooke Losey-Root had two hits, a run scored and an RBI.

Athens got a hit and a run scored from Morgan Westbrook and Hannah Reid scored a run.

Mackenzie Hafer had a hit and an RBI and Jensen Dunkling had a hit and a run scored, while Miranda Peterson had a double, an RBI and a run scored.

Aubrey Allen pitched, striking out two.

Canton 13, Sayre 6

Maggy Machmer had four hits, with a home run, four RBI and two runs scored for Canton in the win.

Makenzy Route had two hits, with two RBI, three runs scored and a triple.

Kellsy Ross had two hits, an RBI and two runs scored and Emily Jennings had a double, an RBI and a run scored.

Lauryn Watkins had a hit and scored two runs, with an RBI, Kayla Ward had two hits and two RBI and Sammy Deljanovan had an RBI and scored a run, while Sidney Wheeler scored a run.

Paige Wampole was 4-for-4 for Sayer with two doubels, two runs scored and an RBI.

Kate Cron had two hits, with a double, an RBI and a run scored and Kristyn Tappan had two hits and scored a run.

Brook Wampole had a hit and scored a run and Caitlyn Garrity and Kaitlynn McCarter each had a hit and an RBI, while Kaitlyn Tappan and Kassandra Winters had hits.

Ross struck out six for Canton on the mound and Kristyn Tappan struck out five for Sayre.

Waverly 8, Tioga 1

The Wolverines got three runs in the second and four in the seventh of the victory.

Sam Mennig limited Tioga to five hits, striking out 13.

Kiana Manuel had a hit, two RBI and scored a run and Megan Wilbur scored a run.

Sam Mennig had two hits, with a double, two runs scored adn an RBI and Stephanie Bellis had two hits, with a triple, and two runs scored.

Zoe Mennig had two hits, Shailei Kraft had a hit and Morgan Salsman had a hit and a run scored, while Reylyn Schwartzhoff scored a run.

Sam Wood struck out seven on the mound for Tioga. Wood had a triple and an RBI at theplate. Britt Vergason had a double and Kaitlyn Stubbs had a hit and scored Tioga's run.

Dani Barto and Lexi Swagler added hits for Tioga.

Tioga is at Edison at noon today.

Wyalusing 7, Liberty 1

Emily Faulkner limited Liberty to one hit in six innings, striking out four and Kyleigh Ward pitched one inning.

Paighton Martin had a hit and Erin Canfield had a hit, an RBI and scored two runs for Wyalusing. Ally DeVoir had two hits and scored two runs and Faulkner had a hit, a run and two rBI.

Ciera Holland had a hit and Katie Epler had two hits, with a triiple and a run scored, while Maddy Eberlin scored a run.

Mariah Berguson pitched for Liberty and Berguson, Rebecca Rossell and Emma Kopennhauer had hits, with Koppenhauer getting a double. Kristina Buchanan scored for Liberty.

Wyalusing is at Athens on Wednesday.

Notre Dame 17, Newark Valley 3

Alivia Clark struck out 11 on the mound and at the plate Mackenzie Mahajan had three hits, two RBI and scored three runs, while Clark had two doubles, an RBI and scored two runs.

Mackenzie Maloney had two hits, three RBI and scored four runs ande Brooke Harvey had two hits, with a double, two runs scored and three RBI. Morgan Cox had two hits, an RBI and scored two runs and Katie Pedalty had a hit, a run and an RBI.

Ali Raupers had a hit and scored a run, Alice Keita had a hit and two RBI. Alaina Steadman had two hits and an RBI and Allie Whichtowski had a hit and scored a run.
