Canton softball clinches spot in districts.

The Canton Warriors clinched a spot in the District 4, Class A playoffs with a 4-0 win over Liberty on Wednesday.

Kellsy Ross threw a six-hitter for Canton, striking out two in the game.

At the plate Ross had two hits, with a home run, an RBI and two runs and Maggy Machmer had two hits, an RBI and a run scored.

Makenzy Route had a hit and two RBI and Lauryn Watkins had a hit, while Kelsey Griffin scored a run.

Liberty got two hits each from Mackenzy Payne and Emily Strange, and Mariah Berguson and Kristina Buchanan had hits.

Buchanan pitched four innings and Berguson pitched three, striking out one.

Wyalusing 5, Troy 3

Wyalusing scored four runs in the seventh inning to rally for the win on Wednesday.

Troy led 2-1 into the top of the seventh when Wyalusing's offense came alive.

Katie Epler had two hits and two RBI for Wyalusing and Kasey DeVoir had two hits in the game.

Kyleigh Ward had a triple, an RBI and a run scored and Ciera Holland had a double and a run scored.

Ally DeVoir had a hit and Ashley VanHorn, Paighton Martin and Erin Canfield scored runs.

Faulkner struck out four on the mound.

Kelsey Bristol had a hit and scored all three of Troy's runs.

Taylor Johnston had two hits and two RBI, Kayla Stephani had two hits and an RBI and Faith Ceely had two hits.

Kerrigan Hoffman struck out four on the mound.

Sayre 12, Sullivan County 1

The Redskins rolled to a pair of wins over the Griffins on Wednesday.

In the 12-1 win Kristyn Tappan threw a two-hitter, striking out eight for the Redskins.

Kaitlyn Tappan had two hits, a double and three runs. Kristyn Tappan had two doubles and three runs.

Kate Cron had two doubles, three runs and an RBI and Kassandra Winters had two hits, a double, a run and an RBI.

Maria Servedio had a hit and two runs, with an RBI, Brook Wampole had a double and an RBI. Dominique Woodruff had a hit and three RBI in the game.

Torie Schultz had a hit and a run for Sullivan County and Alexis Kiess started on the mound.

Kayla Rosbach had a double and an RBI.

In the second game Winters threw a one-hitter for Sayre, striking out four.

Kaitlyn Tappan had a hit, two RBI and three runs and Kristyn Tappan had three hits, a double, two runs and three RBI.

Cron had two hits, a double, two runs and two RBI.

Winters had a triple, a run and an RBI and Paige Wampole had two hits, with a double, three runs and an RBI.

Servedio had a hit and three runs, Brook Wampole had two hits, two RBI and two runs and Woodruff had two hits, a double, two RBI and two runs. Kaitlynn McCarter had a hit and two RBI.

Alexis Kiess struck out one on the mound and Kayla Margagle had a hit and a run scored.
