Calla Johnson leads NEB to two wins in Myrtle Beach.

The Northeast Bradford softball team picked up a pair of wins on a trip to Myrtle Beach over the weekend.

The Panthers earned an 8-0 win over St. John Villa, out of Staten Island, and they bested Ridgefield Park, from N.Y., 20-3.

In the two games Calla Johnson was a combined 6-for-8 with three home runs, nine RBI and six runs scored.

Against St. John Villa the Panthers got three hits, with two home runs, four RBI and three runs scored from Calla Johnson and Maddy Johnson had a hit, an RBI and two runs scored.

Danielle Moore scored a run, Angelia Laudermilch had an RBI, Courtney Coleman had a hit and Bridget Haverly, Annie Williams and Chelsie Souto all had triples. Williams had an RBI and Haverly had an RBI and a run scored. Katie Boardman scored a run in the game.

Souto went the distance on the mound, allowing one hit with 14 strikeouts and five walks in the seven innings.

Against Ridgefield Park Calla Johnson had three hits, with a home run, a triple, five RBI and three runs scored and Danielle Moore had a hit, an RBI and three runs scored, while Maddy Johnson had two hits, an RBI and two runs scored.

Laudermilch had two hits, a double and three runs scored and Monica Brown had three hits, with a double and two RBI.

Haverly had a hit and an RBI, Coleman had a hit, two RBI and a run scored and Souto had a hit and an RBI.

Megan Brown had a hit and scored three runs, Williams had two hits, both doubles, two RBI and two runs scored and Hannah Dum, Dana Koontz and Makenna Wheaton all scored runs.

Souto worked two innings on the mound, striking out three, walking two and allowing two hits and no runs. Coleman struck out two, walked one and allowed five hits and three earned runs in three innings.

Northeast Bradford hosts Athens on Wednesday, April 2.
