"I'm so proud of the kids," Wyalusing coach Jack Loomis said. "They're realizing that they've got a good team. I think the kids are really enjoying it, they're really starting to come alive. I couldn't be happier."

Loomis says Kasey and Ally DeVoir are his two best freshman in a decade.

"Saturday it was Kacey DeVoir getting the winning hit," Loomis said. "Today it was Ally. That's just incredible."

The Rams scored first, taking a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the third while the Knights knotted things up after the top of the fourth.

Loomis was pleased with his defense as well.

"Towanda's got some very good hitters in their line-up and our kids just played very good defense," he said. "Laci Holdren turned a double play in the 6th inning, that really took the wind out of them."

Kasey DeVoir, Arielle Kneller, Chadwick and Ally DeVoir had the four Wyalusing hits with Kneller's a double. Cathryn Pugh added an RBI while Chadwick and Allie DeVoir scored the two runs.

Emily Faulkner got the win, striking out five while allowing five hits and one walk.

For Towanda Tori Welliver was 2-for-2 with a double while Emily Gorman, Raven Vargeson and Kylie Cazassa also had hits.

Loomis was also glad to see a strong turnout to support his young team.

"There had to be 200 people on the bank tonight," he remarked.

The Rams will host Northeast Bradford Wednesday.

"I know were going to be a big underdog against Northeast Bradford," Loomis said. "I like being the underdog, we're approaching it like we have nothing to lose and everything to gain."
